Elementary Science: Apologia Human Anatomy and Physiology 

Course Syllabus & Required Books/Materials

Class Description: Exploring Creation with Human Anatomy and Physiology is an elementary level anatomy and physiology book that gives glory to God as children discover all that goes on in their bodies from their heads to the nails on their toes! Beginning with a brief history of medicine and a peek into cells and DNA, your students will voyage through fifteen lessons covering many subjects, such as the body systems: skeletal, muscular, respiratory, digestive, cardiovascular, nervous and more! (from the Apologia website) No worries: the reproductive system is left for home study.

Most lessons in the book will be covered over two class times by reviewing background material as well as completing the chapter experiments and Try this! activities.  No need to complete any experiments at home! Homework for this class will consist of reading one chapter of the book during one week and then completing vocabulary and review questions (for older class) in the notebooking journal the following week.

$100 tuition and $25 for supplies for a total of $125.

Kristan Johnson, KMJ Tutoring LLC, has been working with home educating families for the past 11 years. Her background includes a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and many years of home educating her three daughters who are now grown. Kristan loves teaching, especially developing active lessons that help students to learn concepts in a fun way. She looks forward to a great year of elementary science at All Saints Co-op!
